Wi-Fi is connected, but nothing loads.

You are not imagining it. Your device can be connected to the little box in the house while the internet beyond it is still down.

Likely cause

The internet box needs a restart, the service is having trouble, or one device is stuck on an old connection.

The box may be connected. The internet may not be.

First things to try.

  1. 01

    Try one website on one other device, like a phone or tablet.

  2. 02

    Restart the internet box by unplugging power for 30 seconds, then plugging it back in.
